MnDOT issues Travel Advisory for parts of western Minnesota for whiteout conditions

5:30 AM Update - January 8th, 2022: MnDOT has lifted the travel advisories across the western portions of the state though they are still reporting reduced visibilities at times around half a mile or less. US 75 from Perley to Wolverton is also being reported as an icy road from the blowing and drifting snow.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is issued Travel is not Advised advisories across portions of western Minnesota for whiteout conditions due to blowing and drifting snow. The travel advisories, in purple, extend across several roads in the area which you can see in the map we have below.

Roads in purple are where the travel advisory is currently in place.

The visibility map is in miles, and shows parts of the region with visibility less than 1 mile due to blowing and drifting snow.
